Layla and I were married on June 20, 2000 at 7:30 PM (the summer solstice). We tried to keep the marriage very small, so we only invited the obligatory family and a select few friends.
We decorated the Square Dance Pavilion at Alaskaland, in Fairbanks, Alaska at the corner of Peger and Airport.
------- Part 1: pre-ceremony -------- 6-36: Friends and family milling around beforehand.
37-38: Damion arrives! We had intended to start the ceremony at 7pm, but Damion's flight was delayed so we didn't get started until nearly 7:50pm.
------- Part 2: the ceremony ----------- 40-60: The ceremony itself. Layla's mother presided; Troy was the best man; Harmony the maid of honor; Damion my groomsman; Emily, Christina and Renae the maids of honor. Eben played the wedding march on his electric guitar.
61-70: A healthy round of picture-taking.
71-72: Light the barbeque!
75-77: Cutting the cake.
------ Part 3: Barbeque ----------- 78-92: Barbeque preparations. The crowd liquors up and then chows down.
93-97: Layla and I sneak off to an isolated bench at Emily's suggestion.
------ Part 4: Presents -------- 114-136: Opening presents.
152-155: Gregg and Zac (and possibly others, who have gone into hiding) decorated Layla's Taurus.
